By participating in the Risk Management Council, those individuals responsible for security at their credit union are able to network with others in the industry and discuss challenges and successes.  With the format of an open forum setting, each member has a voice and directly impacts the direction and actions of the Risk Management Council as it develops.  The wealth of knowledge that is brought to the meetings by each individual is invaluable and is a wonderful benefit to all participants, thereby assisting participants in the day-to-day functions of a security professional.  Having access to an online list serve is also an excellent way to stay up to date with timely security information and to post questions to other members of the Council.
